I completed my BAMUS (Honours) Degree from W.I.T in 2007, with Major as Vocal Opera Performance. During these four years, I performed in Purcell‘s “Dido and Aeneas” and Mozart’s “Marriage of Figaro“, in my final year, all under the guidance of Anne Woodworth.
My performances extended into the W.I.T Chamber choir, which travelled to Wales to premier Dr Eric Sweeney’s Choral work “Niamh and The Golden Hair”, along with personal performances in Waterford New Music Week 2007.
I have attended a Masterclasses with Ms Veronica Dunne, which have been an invaluable experience. I also began private teaching over the weekends and summers, which included voluntary teaching to autistic children in Ardkeen Co. Waterford. During my time in W.I.T I received the Brigid Doolan Creative Arts Award from in 2007.
I currently the Music teacher in Scoil Chonglais in Baltinglass Co. Wicklow as well as vocal coach in both Carlow and Wexford / Gorey Schools of Music. I am also choral director to Ceantrai Oga Ceatharlach. Previously to this I was teaching in St. Angela’s Academy of Music in Thurles Co. Tipperary. I indulge my summers with Music Camps especially in Waterford Institute of Technology.
The versatility of my voice has enabled it to be used as backing tracks in many albums such as Waterford's Richie Hayes - Youthfully Irish. Also I have performed weddings with one of Ireland's leading Contemporary Composer, Dr. Eric Sweeney. Violists, Flautists, Organist and other wind instrumentalists are also available on request.
